McLean is a census-designated placed, or CDP, in Fairfax County and currently stands as the third wealthiest city in America. While the cost of living is quite high, the area is so beautiful that it’s easy to see why. The population is about 47,000 and the poverty rate is extremely low at 2.6 percent.
Along with being near a number of parks and forests, McLean is bordered to the east by the Potomac River. As you might expect from an affluent area near Washington D.C., there are a number of politicians, professionals and managers here that work in the city and come back to McLean to relax.
While McLean is near many wonderful areas like Tysons Corner, there are also a number of things to do in McLean itself. This town has a rich history that you can explore at Fort Marcy. There are a number of parks and you can enjoy the McLean farmer’s market at your leisure. The McLean Community Center is perfect for those who admire the arts as there is a gallery right here with an assortment of art and culture.
The Regency McLean VA is a premier condo community comprised of both owners and renters. There are 312 available units and this high-rise is 16 stories high. The building was developed in 1977 and has been well maintained since the beginning.
Regency at McLean is a gated community with 24-hour security. It is located at 1800 Old Meadow Road McLean VA 22102 and is also right near Chain Bridge Road. This puts you right in the Tysons Corner neighborhood, which is full of stores and consumer hot spots, and the McLean Silver Line metro is extremely close for your commute. The Sport and Health Regency club connected directly to the building allows you to enjoy over 20 different tennis courts. Many residents here join the Regency Sport and Health tennis club, but you are not required to. Just be aware that you cannot use the Regency Sport and Health tennis courts unless you are a member.
Even from the street view of 1800 Old Meadow Road McLean VA, the Regency condominiums building is fantastic and offers so much more when you’re a resident. You’re also next to airports and I-495. There are five duplex penthouses on the 17th and 18th floor with more than 2,700 square feet of room, which is rare in Tysons Corner. You won’t find many McLean condominiums like this. Encore of McLean is across the street and is a sister complex to the Regency condominiums. Encore of McLean is a similar but separate condo community.
Surrounding Regency at McLean is 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Parking comes in both garage and assigned. Most Regency condo units sell for around $285,000 to $900,000 (as of 2019).
The Regency at McLean offers multiple floor plans. You can choose between one, two or three bedrooms and there are two different penthouse floor plans. The Regency condo floor plans are:

There are a number of families in the McLean area and every parent wants to know how the local schools are. This section will discuss the public schools your child will be assigned to. All the ratings and information here comes from Great Schools, a website that reviews schools around the country.
The very first school for residents of Regency at McLean is Westgate Elementary School. This school has 575 students and caters to students from prekindergarten up to sixth grade. Westgate has received an above-average 6 out of 10 rating with their highest score being a 7 out of 10 for high test scores. Many schools in the area receive a lower grade for low-income students and equity overview.
The next school is Kilmer Middle School. There are 1,230 students here and this school caters to seventh and eighth-graders. They receive an above-average 7 out of 10 score. Their best score is a nearly perfect 9 out of 10 for test scores, but they are below average in helping disadvantaged low-income students.
The final public school for your child is Marshall High School. With 2,052 students, this high school has an average grade of 5 out of 10. It excels in overall test grades with a very high 8 out of 10, but a worrisome sign is their 3 out of 10 for college readiness. This seems linked to a low SAT and ACT participation rate, but confusingly over 80 percent of students go on to enroll in college. This is above the state average of 68 percent.

You’ll love the Regency condominium location. You’re a 15-minute walk from the Metro. Silver Line, which carries you right into the city. You’re also close to the Dulles International Airport. On top of that, Regency at McLean has spacious units with beautiful panoramic views. It’s a wonderful place to entertain and an intimate retreat all at once.
The amenities at Regency at McLean are some of the best. You get a convenience store, beauty Regency salon, dry cleaning, an outdoor pool and much more.
Right next to Regency at McLean is the Regency Sport and Health Club, which offers discounts to Regency at McLean residents.
Transportation is easy for Regency at McLean residents. You’re next to all the major routes and Washington D.C. is just 10 miles away. It’s great for commuters because you a one-mile walk from the McLean Silver Line and you can access Dulles Tollroad, I-495 and Route 123 with ease.
You’re right next to the Tysons Corner Center mall with hundreds of stores.
The Regency at McLean condo fees cover all utilities.
-You have access to many restaurants and shops like Wildfire McLean, Nostos Restaurant, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Capri Ristorante Italiano, Pal Restaurant and El Tio Tex-Mex Grill. If you love coffee shops, then you can find four Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Peet’s Coffee and Greenberry’s Coffee Company.
The Regency at McLean gives you many entertainment options. There’s the AMC Tysons Corner 16-movie complex, McLean Central Park, DC Cinemas, Jefferson District Golf Course, Westwood Country Club and much more.
The Regency at McLean is very well maintained.
While parking is often difficult in Tysons Corner and McLean, that’s not an issue at Regency at McLean. There is underground garage parking available along with assigned and unassigned lots. First come, first serve parking is available for visitors and residents who need additional spaces.
There’s a good owner to renter ratio. Some communities have a higher renter ratio, which often leads to poor maintenance. That’s not an issue at Regency at McLean.
Pet lovers will be sad to hear that the regency condominium complex doesn’t allow most pets or with restrictions.
The Regency at McLean was built in 1977 and has largely stayed the same, so this may not be a good fit if you want new condos in McLean VA. If you want new condos in McLean VA, then consider One Park Crest.
